Supported learning for teenagers
The highest quality English language training for teenagers in a positive, inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Our friendly, professional teachers, very effective methods and a dynamic and exciting learning environment all ensure that our junior students improve their English quickly.
The course
Course programme: 15 hours per week, with lessons on 5 mornings a week. There is one half-day excursion and one full-day excursion per week. Every afternoon there is a full programme of sports, cultural and recreational activities. Students are taught in small (maximum 12) multi-national groups.
We focus on improving communication skills, activating existing knowledge and building confidence.
Accommodation
All our students live in the local area with a host family. Our homestays are within walking distance of the school. This accommodation provides an ideal opportunity to practise English outside the class.
Leisure
The fully supervised activity programme includes visits to the New Forest, and the famous Jurassic Coast. There are full-day excursions to London for sightseeing and to historic cities such as Oxford and Bath. This is the perfect way to have a great time with friends, practise your English and experience our authentic local culture.
Travel
We provide a free meeting and transfer service to and from major airports (London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Southampton, Bournemouth) on our start and finish dates between 11.00 and 19.00 on arrival day and between 13.00 and 19.00 on departure day. For arrivals and departures at other times and dates we can arrange a special transfer at an additional cost of £165 one way for London airports and £90 one way for Bournemouth and Southampton airports.
What is included
Course Programme: 15 hours (= 20 lessons of 45 minutes) of tuition per week, full-board homestay, all supervised leisure activities, full-day Saturday excursion and one half-day excursion per week, supervision by Scanbrit staff, loan of course books, airport transfers on specified times and dates.
